Osiris

Death & Resurrection

Lord of the underworld, judge of the dead, symbol of eternal renewal.

The Mythology

Murdered and dismembered by his brother Set, Osiris was resurrected by Isis to become lord of the afterlife. His story represents the eternal cycle of death and rebirth—the grain that dies in winter to rise again in spring. He judges the souls of the dead, weighing their hearts against the feather of Ma'at.
